There are two kinds of notifications in Cron.

  1. Upcoming meeting notifications. These are triggered by meetings that have conferencing and event participants and serve as your highest-signal notifications. "Remind me to drop what I am doing and join my next meeting." You’ll receive upcoming meeting notifications, at the earliest, 5 minutes before a meeting.
  2. Event reminder notifications: These are native system notifications (macOS or Windows) that are sent based on your Google Calendar notification preferences. You can snooze them.

Sometimes, based on your configurations, the two can overlap. We're weary to de-duplicate these notifications on your behalf.

You can configure notifications in Settings > Calendar > Notifications.

  1. Select a calendar in the left-hand Cron menu.
  2. Select "Settings and Sharing" in the right-hand context panel.
  3. Scroll down to "Event notifications" and "All-day notifications" in Google Calendar and adjust your Settings.

We’ll support setting default notifications in Cron soon.
